 AMERICAN ESKIMO DOG BREED

The American eskimo breed of dog was created by German immigrants who were in the upper midwestern United States. At first, they were known as German spits breed but later, the name was changed to American eskimo after the world war one.

The American Eskimo are too loyal to their families which sometimes makes them a bit shy and apprehensive around strangers, they also understand very well the human innovation and words thus intelligent dogs.




The American Eskimo are high spirited and cheery. This breed of dog is a great companion pet because of it's well behaved and friendly deposition. They have a gentle temperament, loyal to their humans thus making them excellent family dogs and also they do well with children. 
The lifespan of the American Eskimo is between 13-15 years.







The American Eskimo have got high energy levels and exercise needs, so it's crucial for the owners to take them on walks each day. They don't like spending a lot of time alone when they are not with their guardians, for this case if it happens, they can get bored and resort to undesirable behaviors for example digging or chewing. They should also be kept away from rodents, birds and reptiles which make them uncomfortable thus making them to bark excessively if not properly trained. 




In conclusion, the American Eskimo breed of dog, make excellent watch dogs at home as there friendly and loyal to their pet parents but also, so suspicious of strangers in this case, they bark thus making them to be so protective and also have got a thick coat that can help them withstand harsh winter.
